Bulldogs pick up win

Andalusia head baseball coach Jonathan Rasberry said it was good to get a win Monday night as the Bulldogs beat Pleasant Home 8-2 in regular season action.

The Bulldogs improve to 8-10 on the season, and will travel to play Ashford Thursday night in area play.

Andalusia currently sits a 0-2 in Class 4A, Area 3 action after two losses to Headland last week.

Andalusia’s Quinton Maddox hit a solo home run, his first, in the top of the seventh against the Eagles to tally the Bulldogs’ third home run this year.

“It was good to get back on the winning side of things,” Rasberry said.

Maddox finished the day 2-for-3, and Zack Ward was 3-for-4.

The Bulldogs scored two runs in the first inning, four runs in the second inning, one run in the fourth inning and one run in the seventh inning.
