SELINA TATE RALEY

Selina Tate Raley, 41, of Dozier, died Mon., March 28, 2011, at her residence.

Funeral services were held Wed., March 30, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Durwood Cleland officiating and burial following in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include her son, Cameron Joe Raley of Dozier; daughter, Erica Raley Lawson of Andalusia; grandchildren, Cayden Tyler Acreman and Devyn Malachi Lawson; her mother, Mildred Walker Raley of Dozier; her father, Jimmy Raley of Raiford, Fla.; a brother, Sid Raley; and sister, Donna Callaham, both of Andalusia

Pallbearers were Buddy Rogers, Bob Bannister, Justin Buckalew, Donnie Rogers, Todd Killough, Joseph Acreman, Caleb Callaham and Jesse Shasteen

PEGGY HARRELSON

Peggy Harrelson went home to be the Lord peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Fri., March 25, 2011.

Funeral services were held Wed., March 30, at the Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Terry Stewart officiating.

She was a life long resident of Rose Hill. She graduated from Straughn High School in 1958. After graduation, she went to work for Southeast Alabama Gas District, where she worked for several years. After her work there, she went to work with the Commercial Bank, now Regions Bank, until her retirement.

She was a devoted caregiver to her family, especially her mother and two sisters, Willette Williams and Louise Jones, who preceded her in death. She was a faithful member of Shady Grove Church of Christ in the Valley of Shiloh community.

She is survived by her nephews, Terry (Barbara) Jones of Ft. Worth, Texas, David (Janet) Williams of Magnolia Springs and James L. Jones of Andalusia; great nephews, Jonathan (Maggie) Chesser of Birmingham and Jim Jones of Andalusia; great nieces, Lindsay and Jessica Jones of Ft. Worth, Texas, Jennifer and Terri Jones of Andalusia, Hillery (Jason) Gedeon of Frederick, Colo., and Merrill (Matt) Wiggins of Omaha, Neb.; and a special cousin, Gyndol Mitchell of Rose Hill.

QUINFORD ‘QUIN’ PRESTON STRICKLAND

Quinford “Quin” Preston Strickland, 86, of Red Level, died Tues., March 29, 2011, in the Opp Hospital.

Funeral services will held at 1 p.m., Sat., April 2, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Strickland of Red Level; his son, Quinford Martin “Marty” Strickland of Crawfordville, Fla.; five granddaughters, Elizabeth Gayle Strickland, Jennifer Lynn Strickland, Claire Leanne Strickland, Hannah Leigh Strickland and Madison Taylor Strickland; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Mildred Skinner of Melbourne, Fla., Glinnis and Harold Biggs and Gladys Strickland, all of Lakeland, Fla.

The family will accept flowers or memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association.

KENNETH RAY SUTTON

Kenneth Ray Sutton, 56, of Red Level, died Sun., March 27, 2011.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Sat., April 2, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Hunt officiating and burial following in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include his former spouse, Kay Adams of Red Level; his son, Kenneth Lamar Sutton of Andalusia; stepson, Kyle (Tori) Adams of Red Level; his daughter, Amanda Bush of Andalusia; stepdaughter, Brooke (Chad) Williams of Red Level; brothers, James (Frances) Sutton, Robert (Ann) Sutton, Gerald Sutton and Tommy Joe (Angela) Sutton, all of Andalusia; sisters, Betty (Jim) Gordon and Jackie (Steve) Dye of Andalusia; and eight grandchildren, Austin Sutton, Michael Fendley, Justin Bush, Evan Sutton, Kayley Williams, Courtland Williams, Parker Adams and Cody Adams.

SARA REBEKAH INMAN WOODS

Sara Rebekah Inman Woods, 35, of Andalusia, died March 27, 2011, at her home.

Graveside services will be held Fri., April 1, at 1 p.m. at New Friendship Baptist Church of Red Level with the Rev. Cartez Hall officiating and burial following in the church cemetery with Marshall-Hammonds Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be held today from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include Stanley Woods Sr. and the couple’s three children, Stanley Ray Woods Jr., LaDarius Tyrell Woods and Savannah Woods, all of Andalusia; her mother, Priscilla Summers of River Falls; her father, George Iman of Nashville; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
