Spring break has sprung for students in the Andalusia City and Covington County school systems.

And Andalusia Elementary School students were excited about spring break yesterday.

The Star-News asked elementary school students “if you could go anywhere in the world for spring break, where would you go?”

The sandy white beaches of the Gulf of Mexico won hands down.

“I’d go to Cape San Blas (Fla.),” said Kaylin Fite. “It’s a blast.”

Cape San Blas is located in Gulf County near the St. Joseph Pe ninsular State Park.

Grey-cen Worley said she’d love “to spend the night at the beach.”

TaKia Stoudemire agreed.

“I would go to Panama City Beach,” she said. “I love the beach.”

Marion Starnes wasn’t too picky on which beach she’d liked to go to, but that’s definitely where she’d be headed.

“I’d like to go to the beach,” said Terrance Salter. “I want to feel the sand between my toes.”

Alex Brow-ning said he’d choose the beach, as well.

Emma Capps had a completely different idea of what would be fun.

“I would choose to go to Canada,” she said. “If I couldn’t go there, I’d like to go to Disney World.”

Capps isn’t the only AES student who would “go and enjoy the magic” of Walt Disney World.

“I’d go to Disney World, if I could go anywhere in the world,” Desm-ond Yel-verton said.

John O’Co-nnell agreed.

“I’d choose Disney World,” he said. “It’s exciting.”

Jamie Moore also said she would visit Disney.
