Volunteers are needed to help with the Meredith’s Miracles’ spring shoppe.

The store will open this Sat., April 16, for pictures with the Easter Bunny and a wide selection of Easter and Mother’s Day gifts.

“We need volunteers to help make the gifts,” said organizer Emily Yehling. “Since Easter and Mother’s Day are so close together, we’ve extended our time open.”

“We have Chrissie Schubert’s cookies for both Easter and Mother’s Day,” said Yehling. “We also have vases, candy, dishes and typical Easter baskets and mugs that say grandmothers.”

Yehling said for those that already have an Easter basket, they are welcome to bring theirs.

“We also have small vases to put small flower arrangements in for only $5,” she said. “We also have Easter and Mother’s Day balloons.”

Pictures with the Easter Bunny will be this Sat., April 16 and Sat., April 23, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

“Just come by,” Yehling said. “There’s no need to schedule an appointment.”

Cost is $5 for a 5×7; and $20 for a package that includes one 8×10; two 5x7s; and eight wallets.

Yehling said as an added option, people can purchase Meredith’s Miracles keepsakes for $20.

“They are hand-painted, and the money goes to purchase gas for family members who have to go out of town for medical treatment,” she said.

The store will also be open April 18-22 and May 2-7 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and May 7 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Those interested in volunteering can contact Yehling at 892-5575.

“We need volunteers for both weeks,” she said.

The store is located on Stanley Avenue in the Sunshine House.
