Lord, Appleyard to exchange vows in October ceremony

The families of Becky Nichole Lord and Troy Thomas Appleyard are proud to announce the couple’s engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mark Lord and the late Rebecca Lord of Andalusia. She is the maternal

granddaughter of the late Robert and Quinna Steele of Florala and the paternal granddaughter of Catherine Lord and the late Atwood Lord of Andalusia.

She is a 2003 graduate of Auburn University, where she earned a degree in criminology. She is currently employed with the Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles as a parole officer in the Andalusia office.

The prospective groom is the son of Pam and Jimmie Cottle of Red Level; Curtis Appleyard of Prattville; and Ron Collum of Andalusia.

He is the maternal grandson of Eleanor Pitts and the late Hiram Pitts of Red Level and the paternal grandson of the late Max and Betty Teper of Selma.

He is a 2004 graduate of Troy University, where he earned a degree in criminal justice. He is currently employed with Georgia Pacific Paper Mill in Brewton.

The couple will exchange vows on Oct. 29, 2011, at 4 p.m., at Oakey Streak Methodist Church.

Invitations will be sent, and all friends and family are invited to attend.
