ARCHIE DOUGLAS MOSLEY II

Archie Douglas Mosley II, 52, a resident of Georgiana, died Wed., Oct. 19, 2011.

Funeral services will be at noon, Sat., Oct. 22, from Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Lovett officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive East Cemetery, with Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Johnson Funeral Home.

Survivors include: her daughter, Melonie Mosley Putman of North Carolina; son, Daniel (Angela) Mosley of Georgiana; mother, Leila Mosley of Elberta; sisters, Kay Reaves of Greenville and Al and Lisa Salter of Gulf Shores; grandsons, Drew Putman of North Carolina and Eli Mosley and Easton Mosley of Georgiana; aunt, Jean (Junior) Howard of Andalusia; and a number of nieces and nephews.

LOIS MARY FLOYD MULVANEY

Lois Mary Floyd Mulvaney, 82, of Andalusia, passed away Oct. 12, 2011, after an extended battle with cancer. She had requested that no funeral service be held.

Mrs. Mulvaney was born in Peoria, Ill., in 1929, where she was reared in an orphanage. She and her children moved to Andalusia about 30 years ago along with her husband, Robert, who purchased Welch’s Grocery at the corner of Stanley Avenue and Lindsey Bridge Road, and operated it as Bob’s Stop and Shop.

Mrs. Mulvaney worked at her husband’s store and also Friendly’s and Mar-Be-Mart. Mr. Mulvaney also worked at Hilltop.

Survivors include four children, Shawn, Tris and Melissa of Andalusia, and Russell of Columbia City, Ind.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mulvaney, of more than 50 years.

EUNICE HICKS BROWDER

Eunice Hicks Browder, 98, of Andalusia, died Sun., Oct. 16, 2011, in the Andalusia Hospital.

Funeral services were held Tues., Oct. 18, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Sharpe and the Rev. James Coleman officiating, and burial following in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Jenelle and James Jones of Andalusia, Louise and Robert Taylor of Sheffield and Clara Dozier of Andalusia; her sons and daughter-in-law, Lee Roy and Joan Dozier of Grand Bay and Oren P. Dozier of Falls Church, Va.; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Ned and Madge Hicks of Lakeland, Fla.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Lela Bowden.

Pallbearers were Gaston Kilpatrick, Windell Crowell, Larry Rountree, Robert Taylor, James Jones and Pablo Pischek.
