Straughn’s varsity boys basketball team suffered a bitter loss to Brantley on Saturday.
The Tigers fell 69-26 on the road to the Bulldogs, where SHS coach Rusty Andrews said his team wasn’t “in the ball game.”
“They beat us in every way possible,” Andrews said. “It was pretty rough. We were just physically and mentally not in the ball game.
“We just didn’t play well,” he said.
Straughn trailed through the entire contest to the Bulldogs.
Brantley led 14-8 at the end of the first period, and 39-15 at half time.
