Longtime English Instructor Bev Smith will be remembered in a celebration of his life and work at 2 p.m. today at the Martha and Solon Dixon Center for the Perfo-rming Arts on the Andalusia campus of Lurleen B. Wallace Community College. Smith, 72, died in November.

Friends, former students, colleagues — all who knew and loved Bev — are invited to join with his family in honoring the memory of this great teacher. A reception will follow, during which the family will greet visitors.
