Two local teams have been ranked in the first Alabama Sports Writers Association baseball/softball poll that was released today.

Andalusia’s baseball team is No. 5 in Class 4A, and Pleasant Home’s softbal team is No. 9 in Class 1A.

The Bulldogs are now 7-1 after going on a five-game win streak, defeating Greenville Tuesday night in a doubleheader.

Pleasant Home is 4-0 after a 14-4 area victory over McKenzie on Tuesday.
