NORMA SOWELL WALLACE

Norma Sowell Wallace, 67, of Andalusia, died Sun., March 11, 2012, in a Dothan hospital.

Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m., Thurs., March 15, at the New Home Congregational Church with the Rev. Derwood Cleland officiating. The family will visit with friends at the church just prior to the service and after the church.

Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Wallace Douglas and Amy Wallace Maughon of Andalusia; her grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Cross, Courtney Elizabeth Lewis and Justin James Maughon; a great-grandchild, Landon Durant Cross; one sister, Alicia Sowell Dewrell; a brother and sister-in-law, James Clifford and Susan Sowell of Andalusia; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Clifford Sowell and Buena Mae Pierson Sowell; a stepmother, Vonner Sowell; an infant son, Tony Dewayne Wallace; and a brother, Alfred “Fred” Pierce Sowell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
