Armed with her jacket and sunglasses, 2-year-old Armani Spence braved the bright sun and cold winds Monday for a ride around the yard.

Locals in some parts of the county may have woken up this morning to a scattering of light frost – a big change from the mild spring nights of late – but, there doesn’t appear to be need to dig out the winter clothes.

Last night’s low was predicted at a brisk 44 degrees; however, forecasts show temperatures will gradually rise again throughout the week to a warm 77 degrees today, upper 80s Wednesday through Saturday and top out Sunday at 82 degrees. Things will cool only slightly next week, as May begins with temperatures in the upper 80s.

Nightly lows are forecasted between 56 degrees tonight and the upper 60s for the remainder of the week. Also, there is less than a 20 percent chance of rain daily until next Tuesday, where a 40 percent of rainfall is predicted.
