MARY RANDALL GUNNELS

Mary Randall Gunnels, 91, departed from this life to her heavenly home on Sat., July 27, 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., today, Tues., July 29, at Keahey funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Powell officiating and interment will follow in Robinson Cemetery.

Born on Dec. 28, 1921, in Walker County. A resident of River Falls for 35 years, Mrs. Gunnels had lived with her daughter and son-in-law near Ashford for the past two years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Christopher Gunnels; mother, Mattie Lee Randall; sisters ,Vonner Sowell and Hazel Smith; and brother, James Randall.

She is survived by her children Jaquita (Bob) Lucas of Dothan, Thomas William Gunnels of River Falls, Quanna (Don) Love of the Love Hill Community and Randall (Jenny) Gunnels of Atlanta; her grandchildren, Glenn Dunkin Hicks, Morgan (Salina) Hicks, Scarlett Clark (Phillip Cheek) and Matthew (Jaimie) Gunnels; great-grandchildren, Dustin Lee (Jessica) Hicks, Tiffany (David) Sexton and Ryleigh Cheek; great-great-grandson, Jackson Lee Hicks; a host of nieces, nephews and friends; and two very special friends, Mello Jo Parrish and Lois Milloy.

MAZELL BENNETT

Mazell Bennett, 82, a resident of Andalusia, passed away on Sun., July 28, 2013.

Funeral service will be held on Wed., July 31, at 2 p.m., at Johnson Funeral Home in Georgiana. Burial will follow in Bushfield Cemetery in McKenzie with Johnson Funeral Home directing arrangements.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m.

She is survived by her sisters, Nelda Bates of Evergreen and Lucy (Max) Davis of Andalusia; and her brother, Wayne Bennett of Montgomery.
