A man sentenced in January 2012 to 20 years in prison will have a parole hearing this Wed., April 9.

David Wiltshire was found guilty of two counts of manslaughter in the 2007 deaths of his fiancée, Christy Wright Still, 34, of Evergreen, and Deanna VanGieson of Theodore, an orthopedic nurse who worked in Andalusia. Still died at the scene of the multiple-vehicle wreck, and VanGieson died a few days later in a local hospital.

Wiltshire was held in the Covington County jail from the time of the accident until his sentencing, or about seven years of his 20-year sentence.

VanGieson’s sisters are seeking support in their quest to see that Wiltshire serves all 20 of those years.

Cheryl Peters said, “We as her family do not believe he deserves parole after serving only seven years for the deaths of two women.”
