EDDIE DEAN 

CARNLEY

A memorial service for Eddie Dean Carnley, 61, will be held at 11 a.m. Sat., Feb. 14, at Foreman Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Tony McLaughlin officiating.

A family visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m.

Mr. Carnley, formerly of Andalusia, passed away on Wed., Jan. 28, 2015, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital with his family by his side. He was a resident of Argillite, Ky., at the time of his death.

Eddie was born on Sept. 23, 1953, in Andalusia, to the late Emma Lou Carnley and Eddie U. Worley.

Mr. Carnley worked for Great Lake Minerals as a laborer for many years. He was also a board member for Little Sandy Fire Dept, and Assistant Scout Master Troop 172-Argillite. He served as a firefighter for the City of Andalusia for 24 years. Eddie enjoyed hobbies such as fishing, camping, flea markets, yard sales, long drives, Boy Scouts, watching westerns but most of all spending time with his family and friends.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 10 years, Claudette Carnley of Argillite, Ky., two daughters, Angie (Mike) Kyles of Andalusia, and Maria Carnley of Georgia; two sons, Eric (Alyshia) Carnley of Andalusia, and Eddie (Tina) Carnley of Florida; a stepson, Foster Gipson of Argillite, Ky.; two brothers, Marvin Carnley of Andalusia, and Cecil (Carol) Carnley of New Mexico; a sister, Peggy Parks of Loango; nine grandchildren, Jared (Skunk), Kylie, Annabelle, Nick, Austin, Tyler, Ricky, Robert, and Tori and a host of friends and extended family that will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Joe Carnley, Albert Carnley Jr., Jeff Carnley, Odean Worley and Ordrey Worley; and three sisters, Irene Wise, Oleane Smith, and Opal Veasey.

 

OLEAN STINSON WINGARD

Olean Stinson Wingard, 87, a resident of McKenzie, passed away on Wed., Feb. 11, 2015. A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Thurs., Feb. 12, 2015, at McKenzie Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in South Butler Cemetery, McKenzie, A with Johnson Funeral Home, Georgiana, directing.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the church from 1 p.m. until service time. Survivors Include her husband, Carl G. Wingard, McKenzie; daughters, Marie Bennett and Becky Kervin, both of McKenzie, and Carleen Viers of Chapman, Ala.; sons, Allen Wingard, Jerry Wingard, Gary Wingard, and Timmy Wingard, all of McKenzie; sisters, Gloria Boutwell, Clois Paige, and Wanda Newton, all of Greenville, and Lillian Lee of Chickasaw; her brother, Col. Stinson, McKenzie; 18 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.

SONNY F. HART

Sonny Franklin Hart, 69, of Florala passed away Mon., Feb. 9, 2015, while camping at Open Pond.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thurs., Feb. 12, 2015, at the Liberty Hill Assembly of God. The Rev. Johnny White officiated. Interment followed in the North Creek Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home of Lockhart directing. The family received friends one hour prior to services at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn M. Hart of Florala; sons, Reese (Doris) Hutcheson of Bay St. Louis, Miss., and Ricky (Donna) Hart of Marrero, La.; daughters, Sonya Simmons of Milbrook, Ala., and Amanda (Eddie) Pickron of Florala; his brother. Kenneth (Dee) Hart of Pearl River, La.; sisters, Shelley White of Pensacola, Sue (Leroy) White of Pensacola, and Ferrolyn (Harold) Elmore of Andalusia; his grandchildren, Todd (Meredith) Hart, Matthew (Alanna) Hart, Clint Hart, Jenna Hart, Luke Hart, Ashlee Simmons, Cody Simmons, Dalton Pickron and Haley Pickron.

Pallbearers will be Randy White, Perry White, Jason Elmore, Don Hart, Todd Hart, Matthew Hart, Leon Thompson and Garry Cannon.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions can be made to the charity of one’s choice.

 

Q.P. PICKRON

Mr. Q. P. Pickron age 83 of Montgomery formerly of Andalusia passed away Wed., Feb.11, 2015 at his residence.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sun., Feb.15, 2015 in the Lowery Cemetery in Sampson, Al. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.,Fri., Feb. 13, 2015 at Mr. Q. P. and Mrs. Helen Pickron’s residence.

Mr. Pickron is survived by his wife, Helen Pickron of Montgomery; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Regina Pickron of Wetumpka; brother and sister-in-law, Woodrow and Sarah Pickron of Apoka, Fla.; sister, Idell Bedsole of Kinston. He is survived by nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Pickron was preceded in death by his daughters, Ann Hickman and Gail Cartwright, grandchildren, Gary Pickron Jr. and Salena Cartwright parents, Jessie James Pickron and Ida B. Jackson.

 

VERA ALICE HICKS

Mrs. Vera Alice Hicks Henderson, age 88, died Thurs., Feb. 12, 2015 in Defuniak Springs, Fla. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sun., Feb. 15, 2015 at Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Edward Ganus officiating. Interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Henderson is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Gail Henderson of Marianna, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Nora Joan and Elgin Sanders of Defuniak Springs, Fla.; sister, Mildred Brook of Andalusia; 4 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, T.G. Henderson, and brothers, Clayton Hicks and J.B. Hicks

INEZ MOCK DIAMOND

Mrs. Inez Mock Diamond, 94, of Loango, passed away Sat., Feb. 7, 2015 in the Andalusia Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wed., Feb. 11, at Old Bethesda Cemetery with Rev. Barry Wilkinson officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Foreman Funeral Home.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lehn and Katrina Diamond of Andalusia; her grandchildren, Jamie and Jessica Jackson and Sally and Jason Lunsford of Florala; five great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, James Bowling of Mobile and many nieces and nephews.
