Kansas City pair claims doubles title

Jerome Wooten and Ro Flowers, both of Kansas City, Mo., defeated Callie Baker of Pike Road, Ala., and Devin Rambo of Kansas City, Mo., to claim the title of world champions in the 40th annual World Championship Domino Tournament.

It was Wooten’s second time to win the doubles tournament, a feat he last completed in 2010, when he also drew a partner from Kansas City. Wooten has won the singles division of the tournament four times.

Third place winners were William Buzek of Halletsville, Texas, and Stephen Kronberg of Redford, Mich.

Fourth place went to the team of Scott Henke of Hallettsville, Texas, and Nathan Garrett of Calera, Okla. Henke won this year’s singles championship.

Adult Doubles Consolation

• 1st place – Gary Baugher of Caney Okla., and Macky Barnes of Booneville, Miss.

• 2nd place – Travis Newsome of Kansas City, Mo., and Timothy Webster of Jacksonville, Fla.

 

Teen Doubles

• 1st place – Taylor Howard, Andalusia, and R.J. Keahey, Andalusia Newspapers, Inc.

• 2nd place – Lexy Happney of Baker, Fla., and Wallace Henry of Deatsville, Ala.

• 3rd place – Maggie Holmes of Andalusia and William Woodruff of Roseville, Mich.

• 4th place – Sarah Guilford and Lauren Guilford of Andalusia.

 

Teen Doubles Consolation

• 1st place – Tyler Hanners, Lineville, Al. and McCain Weaver of Prattville.

• 2nd place – Parker Kelley and Austin Kyzer of Andalusia.

 

Children’s Doubles

• 1st place – Jonathan Clenney of DeFuniak Springs and Darnell Benton of Kansas City, Mo.

• 2nd place – Ella Neskora of Mouton Texas, and Sam Dalton of Andalusia

• 3rd place – Landon Parker of Ozark and Kipper Knight of Abbeville.

 

Children’s Doubles Consolation

• 1st place – Charleston Coker of Georgiana and Ginny Coker of Georgiana

• 2nd place – Will Dalton and Gray Dalton of Andalusia.
