St. Mary’s Episcopal Church Bayou Feast organizers said Tuesday they are anticipating selling more than 300 tickets to this year’s annual event, which will be held on Fri., Aug. 28.

The feast is a fundraiser for the Andalusia church’s rice and beans ministry.

St. Mary’s Rector the Rev. Cindy Howard said tickets usually sell out before the night of the event.

“We always love welcoming the community for an evening of great fellowship and delicious food, cooked by our members,” Howard said. “This year, the Bayou Feast is on the same evening as the first AHS football game.  We hope folks will come have dinner with us before they go to cheer for the Bulldogs.”

The menu includes jambalaya, blackened fish, seafood gumbo, shrimp and grits, cold boiled shrimp, Mardi Gras cole slaw, New Orleans French bread, bread pudding and a beverage. Free hot dogs are available for children under 12.

Tickets are $25 and should be purchased in advance from St. Mary’s members or at the church office. Call the church office at 222-2487 for more information.

Dine in or to go boxes are available. The church is located at 1307 East Three Notch St.
