An Opp mother is being charged with chemical endangerment of a child.
Drug Task Force Agents were called to a residence at B97 Carver Court in Opp in reference to drugs being used in front of a small infant on Monday.
Agent Greg Jackson said that when agents arrived, they could smell a strong odor of marijuana inside the residence.
Agents also noticed a 5-week-old baby in the residence, Jackson said.
“Due to the strong odor of marijuana in the residence, Audrey Ison, the mother of the baby, was charged with chemical endangerment of a child,” Jackson said.
Agents also located marijuana and tramadol, a controlled substance.
Ison was taken to the Covington County Jail and was held on a $270,500 bond.
