Friends and family gathered in the Andalusia High School volleyball gym on Tuesday night for a candlelight vigil in memory of AHS freshman Lorne Wayne Macer.

Macer, 15, was operating a 1994 Harley Davidson motorcycle that was struck by a 2008 Ford Expedition on U.S. 29 Friday night. Macer was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital where he died Saturday.

Macer’s funeral is set for 10 a.m. Fri., May 20, at Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Wyatt Funeral Home in Opp. Complete obituary information here.
