J.J. Seice and other Miracle Leaguers head to Dothan this weekend to represent Andalusia in the Miracle League tournament to kick off the 2016 Alabama State Games .

The Miracle League of Covington County will have a special honor this weekend when they participate in a Miracle League tournament to kick off the 2016 Alabama State games in Dothan.

The Andalusia Slammerz of the Miracle League of Covington County will compete with four other Miracle League teams around the south Alabama in a round-robin style tournament.

On Friday, the Miracle Leaguers will help with the opening ceremonies of the 2016 Alabama State Games.

Saturday the round-robin tournament gets started at 9 a.m., with a game between Dothan Gilley and Dothan Cobb.

At 9:45 a.m., Dothan Cobb takes on Troy.

Andalusia’s first game of the day will be at 10:30 a.m., against Dothan Allums.

The Andalusia Slammerz turn right around and take on Troy at 11:15 a.m..

At noon, Troy battles with Dothan Allums.

Andalusia’s final game of the day begins at 12:45 p.m., against Dothan Gilley.

The final game of the tournament will be at 1:30 p.m., between Dothan Gilley/Cobb and Dothan Allums/Cobb.

After the tournament is completed, the players will be able to enjoy the Miracle League Playground and the Water World Water Park from 2:15 p.m.-6 p.m.

At 6 p.m., there will be a victory dinner and dance at the Westgate Recreation Center.

All players, coaches, buddies, parents and chaperones are invited to the dinner and dance.
