A group of Covington County residents recently took a 12-day trip of a lifetime out west.
“The Grand Tetons, Yellowstone National Park and Mt. Rushmore were the major highlights,” said Kelly McCollough. “We did a hike every day in order to see little hidden treasures. It was a wonderful adventure with three generations of our family.”
Travelers included Roger and Judy McLain, Lance, Kelly, Lain and Ben McCollough.
“We traveled with friends that also had three generations,” she said.
Dr. Cheryl Bailey and her husband, Larry Davis, her mother and their twin boys, Cody and Lane, made the trip.
“It was an adventure of a lifetime,” she said.
McCollough referenced Psalm 90:2, which says, “Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.”
“At times, I stood in awe and thought this just doesn’t look real,” she said. “But to look at this and know God created this. How awesome; how perfect he truly is. It was a great adventure that not only brought us closer together as a family but also drew us closer to Christ. So thankful we go to enjoy more of his beauty together with family and friends.”
