Several local youth soccer teams were in action on Thursday night at the Andalusia Sports Complex and Johnson Park to close out the first week of competition.

Some of the players in the youngest league talked about what they enjoy about playing soccer.

“I like it when I kick it all the way from our goal to the other goal and score,” mirco division player Morgan Crowson said.

Scoring goals is what most of the youngsters enjoy about playing soccer.

“My favorite part about soccer is kicking it in the goal,” Ian Kimbrel said.

Players like Raylan Hines just want to beat their friends.

“When we play against my friends is my favorite part about soccer,” Hines said. “When my team plays Conner’s team, I try to kick it past Conner.”

All the players in the micro division gave it an all out effort on Thursday night, and no matter the score all the teams came out as winners.
