An Antioch Road man was arrested this week on child pornography charges.

Tooper Kevin Cook, spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, said that the State Bureau of Investigation Special Victims Unit arrested an Andalusia man after receiving an investigative lead from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Robert Larry Davis, 67, was charged with possession of child pornography after agents conducted a search warrant at his residence on Antioch Road.

Davis had first aid administered by agents after a self-inflicted stab wound, which occurred after their arrival.

“Agents transported him to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries,” Cook said.

Upon Davis’ release from the hospital, agents took him to the Covington County Jail, where he is being held on a $100,000 bond.

“Nothing further is available as the investigation is ongoing,” Cook said.

Davis was out on bond from the Covington County Jail on a previous arrest on the same charges.

According to court records, SBI agents executed a search warrant on Thurs., Jan. 12, at Davis’ residence, where they discovered he was in possession of child pornography.

“Of the multiple images of child pornography that was discovered, one is described as an approximately 3-to-5-year-old white female that is performing oral sex on an obvious adult male. This image is printed on a standard sheet of paper with the heading of ‘young only.’ ”

Court records also show that on Oct. 23, 2016, that ALEA’s Internet crimes against children received a cybertip form the National Center for Missing and Exploited children regarding the possession of obscene material.

The cybertip reported Twitter user “LonsumBob” had received and/or transmitted several images and videos of obscene material to other Twitter users.
