Louise Searcy Yeargain

Louise Searcy Yeargain, age, 95, of Andalusia, passed away Fri., Aug. 18, surrounded by her family.

She had many wonderful friends, including the Happy Travelers and those she played cards with at the Senior Center, and three precious pets. She taught home-economics for 36 years.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sun., Aug. 20, from Foreman Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Don Searcy and Patrick Sterling Yeargain.

Survivors include her son, John Edwin Searcy (Lee); daughter, Betty Searcy Colquitt (Owen); grandchildren, Angie Blaxton (Ben), John Edwin Searcy, Jr. (Mallory), Elizabeth Landwerlen (James), Bobbie Colquitt, Allison Makuch (Joe) and Ashley Stone; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

 

DOROTHY T. STEWART

Mrs. Dorothy T. Stewart, age 93, of Andalusia, passed away on Wed., Aug. 16, 2017 at Andalusia Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sat., Aug. 19 from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Diane Everette officiating the service; interment will follow in Antioch Congregational Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Peggy Grissett and Cathy and Tom Kimbell; son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Terri Stewart; five grandchildren, Seth Stewart, Tony Stewart, Christopher (Kimberly) Kimbell, Wesley (Lisa) Kimbell, and Bethany Kimbell; and five great-grandchildren, Alyssa Stewart, Caden Stewart, Logan Stewart, Paige Kimbell, and Sydney Kimbell.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Seth Ray Stewart; parents, Otis and Mamie Tillman; and brother, Donald Tillman.
