Look who’s leading the cheers: Pep rally at 6

There’s going to be a wild and crazy pep rally on the Court Square tonight, as the community pushes away from the dinner tables to cheer the AHS Bulldogs on toward Friday night’s quarter-final game against Alabama Christian.

How do we know? Well, The Star-News, which coordinates and sponsors the events, is giving away cow bells while they last, to help fans make some noise in Montgomery. There will also be some glow sticks and necklaces for youngsters.

Secondly,  we’ve invited Frank Shaffer to emcee the event. He got special permission from his mother-in-law to come out and help lead the cheers. If Frank’s mother-in-law says it’s OK to cheer on Thanksgiving night, we’re certain all alumni and fans can get permission.

See you on the Square. We’ll have the noisy stuff there at 5:30.
