New business gets big bounce

High Heavens Bounce Parties opened just this month, and is already doing well.

The business was created with the help of Andalusia Full Gospel Tabernacle, and is owned and operated by John and Teresa Hunt.

“We started High Heavens because we realized just how much we are spending on renting inflatable bouncy houses,” Mindy Day, head of administration at High Heavens said, “A lot of parents were telling us to do things more for the older children as well.”

High Heavens held its first ‘Open Bounce’ on Nov. 10, and has reservations up until April of 2018.

“We didn’t know what to expect, we just hoped it would turn out well,” Day said, “And it was a successful turn out,”

High Heavens is made up of five inflatables, and is located in the building beside Guardian Angel Christian Daycare, which is the family life center.

“The good thing about the building is it’s climate controlled, that way weather doesn’t get in the way of kids’ fun,” Day said.

High Heavens offers two party rooms, and party reservations that include all paper plates, and paper cups, and the staff cleans up after the event.

“We’ve hired three new people specifically for High Heavens,” Day said, “So far we’ve had two birthday parties, and it’s been great, the kids loved it, the parents loved it.”

High Heavens plans to eventually open up a full-fledged trampoline park, and will continue to add inflatable bounce houses as long as the community responds well.

There will be more ‘Open Bounce’ events in 2018.
