Individuals, families or church groups are encouraged to stop in the Covington County Courthouse between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Wed., Jan. 24, and light a candle in recognition of the Sanctity of Human Life week.

Sav-A-Life of Covington County is organizing the candle-lighting/prayer vigil in memory more than 60 million unborn babies lost during the past 45 years since abortion on demand during all nine months of pregnancy was legalized by the U.S. Supreme Court on Jan. 22, 1973, in Roe v. Wade.

Sav-A-Life also has speakers available for Sanctity of Human Life services in Sunday School classes, church services, or civic groups.

Sav-A-Life’s Family Hope Center is located in Andalusia at 116 Crescent Street, around the corner from the Covington County Courthouse. For more information, call Sav-A-Life at 334-222-0644.
