ACT 1 serving up laughter for dinner theater

ACT I will present its dinner theater  on Friday and Saturday evenings, Feb. 16 and 17.

“Legally Gray” is a comedy about a full house, literally. The comedy is based around a father who retires with plans to spend alone time with his wife, only to have the rest of the family also come back to live with them.

“It’s very different from what we have done in the sense it is not a murder-mystery with comedy, it’s a complete comedy,” June Simpson, the director, said.

Frank Schaffer, Lori Coutourie and Molly Hanchuruck rehearse.

Popular ACT I actors and actresses returning the stage include Lori Coutourie, Fran Davidson, Frank Schaffer, Curtis Simpson, Eric Lidh and Molly Hanchuruck.

“We honestly can’t rehearse this play without laughing,” Paula Harr, assistant director and executive director of the Covington Arts Council, said.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with the event beginning at 7. There will be a lasagna dinner served.

Tickets are $25 and are available at Harold’s.

All proceeds go towards ACT I and the Covington Arts Council.
