LBW Community College and the LBWCC Foundation recently recognized Andalusia native Jeddo Bell and his impact on the communities he served through a 45-year career in education and more than 20 years on the Greenville City Council.  The educational legacy of Bell, who died in 2017, will continue for future generations through the Foundation’s creation of the Jeddo Bell Memorial Scholarship for LBWCC students. Pictured at the official signing ceremony are, seated from left, LBW Community College President Dr. Herb Riedel; Bell’s son Tracey Burnett; LBWCC Foundation Vice President Wayne Bennett; standing, LBWCC Dean of Administrative Services and Greenville Campus Director Peige Josey and Associate Dean of Institutional Advancement Dr. Arlene Davis; Bell’s sisters Jacqueline Wytch, Dianne Bell Polion, and Dradine Bell Crenshaw; and cousin Shelita Trawick Hanner. Community members are invited to help the scholarship reach the official endowment level of $25,000 by sending tax-deductible donations to the LBWCC Foundation.
