More than $60,000 was raised at Cancer Freeze 2018 this year and co-founder Jennifer Davidson cannot express how grateful it feels to put it all together.

“I have no clue how to tell you how I feel without getting emotional,” Davidson said. “It was so overwhelming and humbling to see people from all around come together for a great cause and show love to one another.”

Davidson said that the weekend overall was fantastic, but she cannot help but to think about next year’s events.

“We raised over $60,000 this year and all I can say is, ‘wow’,” Davidson said. “It isn’t about just the recipients anymore, it is about the cancer community as a whole and we are so thankful that God has blessed us this much.”

The Florala fundraiser is a full day of events, with proceeds benefitting six cancer patients or their families.

Davidson said that there were too many people to count to put a number on how many people participated Saturday.

“It is amazing to see all the comments and messages that I receive about how great Cancer Freeze was this year,” Davidson said. “It is one thing for someone who has always come to the event to say that it was good, but for someone that this is their first time to come up and say that they will definitely be back next year, that really means a lot to us.”
