Opp Arts Center, Missoula team up for ‘Gulliver’s Travels’ [with gallery]

The Opp Cultural Arts Center, in partnership with the Missoula Children’s Theatre, presented an adaption of Gulliver’s Travels on Friday evening. A second performance is set for this afternoon.

This adaption of Gulliver’s Travels is futuristic, complete with spaceships and computers.

Gulliver finds himself lost in space when his spaceship wrecks and his computer is “on the fitz.”

While lost in space, Gulliver travels from world-to-world discovering aliens, foolish “Yahoos,” robots and more.

The production features dozens of local students, who auditioned on Monday and learned their lines throughout the week.

The cast includes:

  • JCN: Kandace Jackson
  • King: Ethan James Williams
  • Queen: Sadie Burks

  • Horses: Alyssa McFarland, Mar’Niyah Mount, Madison Cook and Nevaeh Patton
  • Robots: Lily Kathryn Clark, Keniah Kroher, Brennon Mack, Ella DeSylvia, Haylee Ballard, Egan Jones, Mackenzie Thrash and Katie Gilmer
  • Yahoos: Baylor Blackstock Turman, Haylee Booth, Ella Fernandez, Charlie-Mae Qualls, Destiney Lane, Crystal Rogers, Benjamen Lane
  • Liliputians: Isabella Norris, Brooke Williams, Eddie DeSylvia, Joseph Fletcher, Isaac Rodgers, Lexi Leal, Rylan Folmar and Hutch Scott.
  • Blefuscudians: Harper Booth, Mia-Tyler Nelson, JB Scott,   Jaycie Golden, Kylee Cotton, Emmalee Wyatt, Zo’Rieanna Matthews, Cambri Bentley and Aya Wambles. • Assistant director: Finley Scott.
