The Opp Bobcats came in with their bats on fire as they rolled past the Andalusia Bulldogs for an 11-2 victory on Friday night in Andalusia.

Andalusia’s Sebaskin Stallworth got the start on the mound and struck out the first batter he faced.

Stallworth got the next batter to fly out to Jacob Cravey in right field, but then the Bobcats got hot.

Kody Richburg laced a pitch between shortstop and third base for a single and then moved to second on single from Ethan Baker.

Brett James loaded up the bases for Opp when he drew a two-out walk.

Opp got the first run of the game when Stallworth was called for a balk.

A passed ball followed that allowed Baker to come around to score.

Dalton Grider then hustled out an infield single that brought James into score to put the Bobcats on top 3-0 after one half inning of play.

Andalusia’s Garrett Davis led off the bottom of the first inning with a rip back up the middle of the diamond for a single.

Davis attempted to steal second, but Richburg fired a seed to bag for the out.

The Bulldogs then got runner on first and second with back-to-back walks.

Hogan Nichols then roped a double that brought in Gill Morgan.

A passed ball then allowed Stallworth to score to trim the Bobcats’ lead down to 3-2.

Opp got help from Andalusia after an error and walk started off the top of the second inning.

Spurlin Kelley followed with a hard-hit ball up the middle to score Hal Smithart from second base.

Following another walk, Richburg lifted a ball into the outfield that gave Opp a 5-2 lead.

The Bulldogs then committed another error that allowed two Bobcats to cross home plate.

James kept things rolling with a single and then Grider ripped a two-run double to put Opp on top 9-2 going into the bottom of the second.

Opp’s Logan Ross hit the first batter he faced in the bottom of the second inning, but settled in and sat the next three Bulldog batters down in order.

In the top of the third inning, Lane Worley got a single that brought in a run.

The final run of the game came in the top fourth inning when an error off the bat of Worley allowed Ross to score.
