Distinguished Young Women of Covington County is currently accepting applications to participate in the annual scholarship program.

DYW awards $10,000 in cash tuition scholarships, along with college-granted scholarships, in Covington County each year.

Applicants must be rising high school senior girls who are legal residents of Covington County.

The annual program will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018, at LBW Community College. Participants must be available for practice the week prior to the program.

Participants are evaluated in the following categories: Scholastics (25%), Interview (25%), Talent (20%), Fitness (15%), and Self-Expression (15%).

The local winner will advance to the state program in Montgomery, Alabama where more than $42,500 in cash tuition scholarships will be awarded.
