The sMiles for Megan 5K walk/run has opened up for registration.

The event will be held on May 5 at City Hall in Andalusia.

Registration for the event may be found at www.active.com.

There is a $25 registration fee for walkers and runners.

Runners that want to participate, but can’t attend the event may sign up as a virtual runner for $30.

Packet pick up will be the night before the race at the race site.

The opening ceremony will be at 7:30 a.m. This will include former Alabama football players encouraging the runners, prayer for the runners, a balloon release and a moment of silence for Megan and those who have lost their battle with cancer.

Proceeds help the Megan Kelley Smiles Foundation pay for food, lodging and gas for young adults (19-26) who are battling cancer.
