BULLDOGS USE THE LONG BALL: Wilson homers twice to push Andy to win

The Andalusia Bulldogs used a big second inning to knock off Reeltown 7-6 on Saturday afternoon at Andalusia High School.

Sebaskin Stallworth got the start on the mound for the Bulldogs and worked around a leadoff walk in the opening frame.

After issuing the walk, Stallworth got the next three batters to ground out back to the mound.

Hogan Nichols reached on a two-out double in the bottom of the first inning, but the Bulldogs were unable to push the run across.

Reeltown’s leadoff batter reached off of an error to start the top of the second inning, but Stallworth ended the frame with a pair of strikeouts and a pop out to second base.

Stallworth drew a walk to start the inning then moved up to second on a ground out.

Jacob Cravey reached on a one-out error and then J.W. Jones drew a walk to load the bases for the Bulldogs.

Gill Morgan followed with a walk to score Stallworth.

Ethan Wilson then came up and hammered an 0-2 pitch over the fence for a grand slam to give Andalusia a 5-0 lead.

Reeltown struck back in the top of the third inning with a pair of runs.

Will Clark got things rolling with a single to start the bottom of the third inning and later came around to score to give the Bulldogs a 6-2 lead.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Wilson came up big again when he belted a solo home run to put Andalusia on top 7-2.

Wilson led the Bulldogs to the win going 2-for-4 with two home runs and five RBIs.

Nichols finished the game 3-for-4 with a double and two singles.

Stallworth picked up the win going six innings with seven strikeouts.
