The Covington County Relay for Life will hold a raffle that will benefit the Hope Lodge in Birmingham.

The raffle will be held the night of Relay for Life, April 13, from 6-10 p.m.

To participate in the raffle, an item on the donation list must be brought in.

“For each item brought in on the night of Relay for Life, you will receive a ticket that will go into a drawing to win a grill,” Coordinator Randi Bozeman said.

“The grill was donated by Covington Electric Cooperative and a grill set donated by Southeast Gas.”

Bozman said that the winner will be selected that night at the awards ceremony and the winner must be present.

“The Hope Lodge is completely run by volunteers and donations,” Bozeman said.

“It’s provided for cancer patients and their families who are receiving extended treatments in Birmingham.”

Families can stay for free at the lodge as well as have free meals.

“We plan to take all the donated items in June,” Bozeman said.
