SHS Tigers fall to W.S. Neal

The Straughn Tigers went up to start the game, but W.S. Neal turned on the burners and rallied for a 16-3 win on Monday in the Butch Youman’s Spring Break tournament.

Bryant Harper started the game with a single and moved to third off an error.

Adam Anderson then drove in Harper with a fielder’s choice.

Clay Ashberry then drew a walk and was pitch ran for by Alex Watkins.

Watkins came around to score off of an error to put the Tigers up 2-0.

W.S. Neal responded with three runs in the bottom of the first and wouldn’t trail for the remainder of the game.

In the bottom of the second inning, W.S. Neal came through with nine runs to take a 12-2 lead.

Straughn’s final run came in the top of the third inning when Caleb Meredith drove in Harper with a single.

W.S. Neal continued to score and went on to win 16-3 via the mercy rule.
