ANDALUSIA GETS BIG WIN: Lady Bulldogs storm past Florala Lady Wildcats

The Andalusia Lady Bulldogs used a big third inning to knock off the Florala Lady Wildcats 15-0 on Tuesday afternoon in Andalusia.

In the pitcher’s circle, Sydney Arnett was dealing as she retired the side in order in the top of the first inning with two strikeouts and a ground out to Zaria Jones at shortstop.

Katie Caraway started strong in the pitcher’s circle for the Lady Wildcats.

After walking Sydney Ray to start the bottom of the first, Caraway settled in and sat the next three batters down.

Arnett continued to impose her will on the Lady Wildcats as she got another 1-2-3 inning with a pair of strikeouts and a fly out.

Caraway got the first batter to pop out in the bottom of the second inning before Mille Manring picked up the first hit of the contest.

Erin Riley came in to run for Manring.

Morgan Bledsoe then gave the Lady Bulldogs the lead when she ripped a triple to the fence in right field.

Jones followed with a bunt single, but Bledsoe was unable to come around to score.

Caraway got the next two batters out to end the Andalusia threat.

Arnett gave up her first base runner when she hit the first batter in the top of the third inning.

Arnett fought back and got a ground out and two strikeouts to end the frame.

The Lady Wildcats got the first batter out to start the bottom of the third inning, but then the hit parade started.

Chloe Mikel started the parade with a double and then scored off of a double from Raygen Clarke.

Arnett followed with a single to score Clarke.

Payton Burden came into run for Arnett and came around to score on a wild pitch.

A few batters later, Bledsoe drove in a run off of an error to put the Lady Bulldogs up 5-0.

Jones followed with a scorching double down the left field line that brought another run in to score.

Ray then drove in a run with a double.

Riley drove in a run with a single to put the Lady Bulldogs up 8-0.

Mikel added her second double of the third inning and drove in a pair of runs.

Mikel later scored off of a wild pitch to give Andalusia an 11-0 lead.

Manring added the last score of the inning when she drove in Clarke with a single.

Arnett struck out the first two batters in the top of the fourth inning before Ashley Owenby broke up the no hitter with a single.

Morgan Jackson followed with a double, but Arnett picked up another strikeout to end the inning.

Burden singled to start the bottom of the fourth inning to get things going for the Lady Bulldogs.

Burden quickly stole second before a walk to Riley put runners on first and second with one out.

Maddie O’Connor followed with a single to put the Lady Bulldogs up 13-0.

Arnett then ended the game when she blasted a double to deep center field that allowed a pair of Lady Bulldog runs to come around to score.
