Master Gardeners are ready for the annual plant sale scheduled for Friday, April 27, from 4 until 6 p.m., and Saturday, April 28, from 8 until 11:30 a.m.

Gardeners are bringing plants from their own collections including among others, Christmas cactus, Night Blooming Cerus, and bulbs of all kinds. In addition to a variety of these “pass along plants” from Master Gardeners, there will be commercially grown plants from Southern Growers. Plants will be arranged according to their light requirements and Master Gardeners will be available to answer your questions about other plant requirements.

The Plant Sale will take place on the lawn of the Covington County location of the Alabama Cooperative Extension System on Highway 55 South in Andalusia. Sale takes place “rain or shine” and cash and checks are accepted.

Master Gardeners have successfully completed classwork through the Alabama Cooperative Extension Service, completed a background check, and contribute volunteer hours to community projects including landscaping Covington County Habitat for Humanity Homes. People interested in participating in the Master Gardener program may call the Covington County Extension Service at 334-222-1125.
