Andalusia High School junior Hogan Nichols has been selected to the 2018 South All-Stars for this summer’s North-South All-Star baseball game.

Nichols has been the starting catcher for the Bulldogs the past three years.

This season, Nichols has knocked the cover off of the baseball for the Bulldogs.

Nichols has hit for an average of .451 this year with three home runs, 30 RBIs and 37 hits.

They junior backstop has helped lead the Bulldogs to the second round of the Class 4A playoffs.

The 22nd annual All-Star event will be held in Montgomery at Riverwalk Stadium on July 17.

The first game begins at 4 p.m., with game two scheduled for 6:30.
