PHS Lady Eagles come up short

The Pleasant Home Lady Eagles finished with a tie and two losses in their Tune Up tournament on Saturday in Andalusia.

GAME ONE

PLEASANT HOME 1, OPP 1

In the opening game, Pleasant Home and Opp tied 1-1 due to time constraints.

Both teams scored in the opening frame, but couldn’t get anything the remainder of the game.

Ansley Johnson drove in one run for the Lady Eagles.

Loryn Praytor picked up Opp’s RBI.

GAME TWO

KINSTON 4,

PLEASANT HOME 1

In the second game of the day, the Lady Eagles fell 4-1 to Kinston.

Tami Hilson and Hope Gunter each singled in the game for the Lady Eagles.

Johnson drove in the Lady Eagles’ lone run.

GAME THREE

REELTOWN 4,

PLEASANT HOME 0

In the final game of the day, the Lady Eagles found themselves on short side of a 4-0 score.

The Eagles got a single from Gunter in the opening inning, but were unable to bring anyone around to score.

Gunter ended the game 3-for-3.

Bess Worley, Amy Kate Bulger and Hilson each had one hit.
