A one-vehicle crash at approx. 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, has claimed the life of a Chickasaw man.

Lee Andrew Powell, 70, was critically injured when his 2009 Nissan Titan ran off the roadway down an embankment striking several trees. Powell was pronounced dead at the scene by the Covington County Coroner.

The crash occurred on Covington County 82 near Terry Mill Road, 2 miles west of Red Level.

Nothing further is available as State Troopers continue to investigate.
