The Andalusia Ministerial Association will hold a National Day of Prayer event at noon Thursday, May 3, on the Court Square.

Held the first Thursday in May, this annual observance invites people of all faiths to pray for the nation. The National Day of Prayer was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress.

The theme for the 2018 event is unity, and organizers say prayer brings people together in unity. The featured verse is Ephesians 4:3: “Making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”
