Comfort Care Hospice treated its nurses to a “day at the beach,” Wednesday in honor of National Nurses Week.

Mitzi Butler and Vickie Wacaster said they wanted to show nurses how much they are appreciated. Since they couldn’t take them all to the beach and still take care of patients, they brought the beach to their office.

The pair set up beach umbrellas and chairs, spread a little sand on the conference room table, and provided seafood for lunch. After lunch, they had an opportunity to win the decorations for their own days at the beach.
