CINDY OSSENFORT BAKER

Mrs. Cindy Ossenfort Baker, age 52 of Andalusia, died on Fri., May 11, 2018, at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Ossenfort will be held at 10 a.m., today, Tue., May 15, 2018, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Andalusia. Father Wayne Youngman will officiate. Interment will be in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Baker is survived by her mother, Mrs. Marcia Ossenfort of Andalusia; her daughter and son in law, Erika Lynn and Ronnie Davis of Lenox, Ga.; her two grandchildren, Walker Davis and Presley Jean Davis; three brothers and sisters in law, Bill and Shelley Ossenfort of Andalusia, J.P. and Cari Ossenfort of Richardson, Tx., and Chris and Natalie Ossenfort of Dallas, Tx; nieces and nephews, Ashley, Kali, Christian, Trey, Cale, andTyler Ossenfort and Jaxon Juett; and a grand nephew, Sawyer Moody.

Pallbearers will be Bill, J.P., Chris, and Trey Ossenfort, Ronnie Davis and Kevin James.

The family received friends Monday at Foreman Funeral Home.

MAC MCKINNEY

Mac McKinney, age 76, of Andalusia, passed away on Sat., May 12, 2018, at Opp Health and Rehab.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., today, Tue., May 15, 2018, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Billy Boles officiating the service, interment will follow in Judson Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Foreman Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda D. McKinney; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Steven Carter; grandchildren, Amber Carter (John) Newby and Rayne Carter (Hunter) Greathouse; great grandchildren, Allison Brooke Greathouse and Norman Cooper Greathouse; and sisters and brother-in-law, Frances Jordan and Geretha and John Lawson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Reed and Josephine McKinney, and brother, Donald McKinney.

Pallbearers will include: Buddy Brannon, Tom Watts, Johnny Jordan, Mike Moore, Robert Sutton, and Roger Knox.

MERLE FINDLEY

Mrs. Merle Findley, age 93, formerly of Andalusia, passed away on Fri., May 11, 2018, at Allen Memorial Home in Mobile.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., today, Tue., May 15, 2018, from Carolina Baptist Church Cemetery with Brother Johnny Cook officiating.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Mike Gibson of Mobile; grandchildren, Dylan Gibson of Taiwan, China and Elinor Gibson of Mobile; and numerous nieces and nephews.

JOHN LEO HOUSE

John Leo House was born December 19, 1931, to John Leo House Sr., and Kathryn Magdalena Pryor House in Allendale, Mo.

Upon graduation, he joined the Air Force and served as a jet mechanic in the Korean War.

John was married to Shirley Gay Nelson on April 26, 1953.

He then attended the University of Missouri, and received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1960. John practiced with Dr. Don Lucas in Shelbina, Mo.

In 1972, he had a unique opportunity in Auckland, New Zealand, to be employed as a veterinarian in Her Majesty’s Service. He then finished his career with the USDA as a veterinarian in Clovis, N.M.; McKinney, Texas; and Batesville, Ark., until his retirement in 2002.

He scuba dived around the world, piloted his own airplane and on his 75th birthday he took up skydiving.

John was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Margaret House and Madelyn House Thompson.

He is survived by his wife; his son, Bryan House, and daughter-in-law Yasmin House of Nicev,ille, FL; his daughter, Brenda Gouge, and son-in-law ,Stan Gouge of Andalusia; grandchildren Lesan Gouge of Seattle, WA., and grandson Sawyer House and granddaughter-in-law, Alyssa of Mobile, AL; Mark Gouge of Greenville, S.C.; Chad Gouge of Wenatchee, WA.; Nicholas Cooley and his granddaughter-in-law, Chelsey, of McAlester, OK; two great-grandchildren; his sister, Marilyn House Scott; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
