The Opp City Board of Education on Tuesday renewed the contracts of two principals and took other personnel action.

The board:

• Renewed the contract of Shawn Short, principal of the Opp Elementary School, for three years.
• Renewed the contract of Sharon Spurlin, principal of the Opp Middle School, for three years.
• Accepted the resignation of Denise Pierce, a math teacher at the Opp High School.
• Contracted with Dimetrio Tyson for summer maintenance.
