Children from around the county will have a chance to learn from college and high school coaches next week at LBWCC assistant coach Brandon Ware’s annual baseball camp at LBWCC.

This year the camp will be held just one day on June 8.

Registration will be from 7:30-8 a.m., on the day of the camp.

There is a $25 registration fee for the camp.

The camp will run from 8 a.m.-noon at Crum Foshee Field on the LBWCC campus.

Campers will have the chance to learn from different college and high school baseball coaches.

LBWCC assistant coach Ware will be the host for the event. Ware has 11 years of experience as a junior college assistant coach.

LBWCC assistant coach Charles White will also be an instructor for the camp.

White has nine years of experience as a junior college head coach.

Andalusia High School head baseball coach Tyler Dent will also be an instructor.

Dent played at LBWCC for two years and then went on to play for the AUM Warhawks.

Most recently, Dent led the Bulldogs to their first ever state championship in baseball.

Opp High School assistant coach Josh Thompson will also be an instructor for the camp.

Marbury High School head coach Chad Mansmann is also going to be an instructor at the camp.

Campers will learn many different skills that can improve their game.

Skill fundamentals in fielding, hitting, base running and pitching will be covered during the camp.

Campers need to bring cleats, tennis shoes, baseball equipment and water or sports drinks.
