TATE JACKSON  “TJ” NORTHEY

Tate Jackson “TJ” Northey age 8, a resident of Elba, Ala., passed away Wed., May 23, 2018, while vacationing with family in the Dominican Republic. Funeral services will be held at the Elba High School Auditorium on Sat., June 2, beginning at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Woodham officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens with Hayes Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church of Elba, today, Fri., June 1, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The family will accept flowers or those wishing to make contributions are ask to do so to the Elba Elementary School playground fund in memory of “TJ”, c/o 131 Tiger Drive, Elba, AL 36323 or to the “TJ” Northey Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Troy Bank and Trust, P. O. Box 967, Troy, 36081.

“T.J.” was a student at Elba Elementary School where he was described as a “bright spot” in the day by his former teachers. He will be remembered as a happy little boy who had a unique way of uplifting others and bringing smiles to those around him.

DWIGHT G. WARD

Mr. Dwight G. Ward, 87, of Babbie, passed away Wed., May 30, 2018, at Mizell Memorial Hospital in Opp.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sat., June 2, 2018, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Drew Cook officiating. The interment will follow in Smith Cemetery in the Mobley Creek community. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Foreman Funeral Home.

He is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
