Alabama opens the season against Louisville

The Alabama Crimson Tide opens the season on Saturday when they take on the Louisville Cardinals in Orlando.

One big question coming into the weekend, is going to be who playing quarterback for the Crimson Tide?

Jalen Hurts has been a strong starter for the Crimson Tide over the past two seasons, but Tua Tagovailoa swooped in to save the day in the second half of the last year’s national title game against Georgia.

Both quarterbacks possess dual-threat abilities with Tagovailoa being more accurate on passes.

Regardless of who plays quarterback, the Crimson Tide has a stable of running backs that are set for a strong year.

Najee Harris and Damien Harris return to the Crimson Tide and will split time in the backfield.

N. Harris came on strong later in the year while D. Harris racked up 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2017.

Louisville must replace quarterback Lamar Jackson who won the Heisman and was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens.

Jawon Pass is expected to play quarterback for the Cardinals.

Kickoff between Alabama and Louisville is scheduled for 7 p.m., on Saturday in Orlando. The game will be televised on ABC.
