The Florala High School Lady Wildcats basketball team fell to the T.R. Miller High School Lady Tigers 67-37 in the championship game of the 21st Annual Red Level High School Christmas Tournament Saturday night.
T.R. Miller went up 19-11 at the end of the first period and kept running up the score to finish the half 38-20.
The Lady Tigers broke the 50-point barrier in the third period with 5:11 left in the period.
Laken Hadley kept the Lady Wildcat’s hopes alive with a pair of three pointers to cut the Lady Tiger lead to 60-38 in the fourth period.
Two layups late in the fourth period from the Lady Tigers ended the game 67-37.
Hadley led the Lady Wildcats in scoring with 14 points.
“I think we played really well,” Head coach David Bass said. “They tried to hold the ball up and they were up by 30 points so I mean I think we defended well. They are a great basketball team and we came up short, but overall I am very proud and satisfied with the performance of my girls tonight.”
