Bradley Byrne, a candidate for U.S. Senate and current member of Congress, will hold a public town hall meeting in Covington County on Friday, May 31, at 10:30 a.m.

Byrne currently represents Southwest Alabama in the U.S. Congress. The town hall meetings are free to attend and open to anyone. During his town hall meetings, Bradley will answer questions and listen to ideas from those in attendance regarding issues ranging from illegal immigration to health care to veterans’ issues.

Byrne, a native of Mobile, announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate in February. Prior to being elected to the Congress, he served as a member of the Alabama Board of Education and the Alabama Senate, and was chancellor of the post-secondary education system.

The event is slated for the Chamber of Commerce office on River Falls Street.
